The Sigenergy SigenStor takes a different approach. It combines the hybrid inverter and battery storage into a single modular stack. Solar comes in at the top, the inverter manages conversion and grid interaction, and the battery modules sit underneath. One unit, one app, one warranty.

LFP chemistry
Lithium iron phosphate cells are inherently more stable than the NMC chemistry used in some competitor batteries. They tolerate more charge cycles, degrade slower, and do not carry the same thermal runaway risk.
Proper monitoring
The Sigenergy app shows real-time generation, battery state of charge, grid import and export, and historical consumption data. You can see exactly where your energy goes and how much the battery is saving you.

What is Sigenergy?
Sigenergy is a battery and inverter manufacturer that makes the SigenStor system. It is an all-in-one hybrid unit that combines the solar inverter, battery inverter, and battery storage into a single modular stack. It is designed for residential solar installations and is one of the systems we install at Geko.
How does SigenStor compare to other battery systems?
The main difference is integration. Most competitors (Tesla Powerwall, Fox ESS, GivEnergy) require a separate inverter and battery. SigenStor puts everything in one unit. That means fewer components on your wall, simpler wiring, and a single app for monitoring. The trade-off is that you are locked into the Sigenergy ecosystem, but the 10-year warranty and modular expansion offset that.
Can I add more battery capacity later?
Yes. The SigenStor system is designed to be modular. You can start with 5 kWh and stack additional battery modules up to 25 kWh. Your existing inverter and wiring stay the same. We size the initial install to allow for future expansion.
Does Sigenergy work with solar panels from other brands?
Yes. The SigenStor hybrid inverter works with any standard solar panel. We typically pair it with Aiko or DMEGC Tier-1 panels, but it is compatible with most mainstream brands.
What is LFP and why does it matter?
LFP stands for lithium iron phosphate. It is a type of battery chemistry that is more thermally stable, lasts longer, and handles more charge cycles than NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) batteries used in some competitor systems. The practical benefit is a longer lifespan and a lower risk of thermal issues.
Is Geko an authorised Sigenergy installer?
We install Sigenergy SigenStor systems as part of our residential solar and battery offering. Our installations are MCS-certified, which means your system qualifies for the Smart Export Guarantee and any green mortgage incentive that requires MCS certification.
